The Upside Down Lion Fish

“Excuse me…but I think that fish is dead,” Eli said.
Eli directed the keepers attention to a fish floating upside down.
The keeper, a mid aged woman with nicely tanned skin, giggled through her brown hand.

Kakadu Poppins

I had made a promise to my six year old son and I needed to keep it, but it involved something that I just couldn’t bring myself to do and the very thought of flying…made me, a grown man, weak at the knees.

Petrified of flying I couldn’t even get on a merry go round. The whole concept of floating around in space without my feet on the ground made me sweat bullets. I use to carry a brown paper bag everywhere I went just in case I started to hyperventilate. [Read more...]
